"Aunty G's for Life!!"

Now, I feel that as currynightmare.com continues to be the Web portal of the wonderful world of Rakhi, the Curry Nightmare personified, I will continue to add links to Web sites related to my random interests.

Now this site, is da bomb - http://www.badmash.org/ comic strips, short films, and more. Creative, witty, and just down right hilarious - I suggest watching 'Aunty Gs,' 'The Singhsons,' and my personal favorite - 'Who wants some Dishoom?' (The latter adds Indian witt to a typical election themed video parody. )

"Dots not Rodents"

Oh my goodness - this entire post is dedicated to Ryan Hanky (really hope I spelled your last name right...). He is the mastermind that came up with the name Curry Nightmare, and I have been long over due in providing him with the credit he deserves. Thanks mr. monomony!

Today, at lunch, he just brightened my mundane day. I was talking to a friend on the phone last night, a true Wisconsite in all senses of the word. Hunter, fisher, construction worker, pronounces Minnesota like Minesoooota, and he thought...are you ready for this? He thought all Indians had a mole on their forehead!!!!!!!!! (As in, our bhindis were actually part of our body!!) And as I tell Ryan this story, he ever so wittingly exclaims, "tell him it's dots not rodents." Funniest thing I've ever heard in the longest time.

Military Blogs - The real story in Iraq

I was watching the world news today and they shed light on a Web site that I think everyone should visit - whether you are into politics or not, whether you believe in the War or not -

http://www.optruth.org/main.cfm

Operation Truth compiles actual diary entries from troops in Iraq - in their own words. The posts include, but are not limited to, letters to loved ones, graphic details of what takes place in Iraq, and how they're dealing with it.

With the clutter of media reporting regarding this stupid war, this site's only agena is to publish the truth. Somehow, it's easier to believe stories that you hear from a soldiers words, as opposed to Tom Brokaw. (Not a knock on Tom Brokaw specifically, rather the mass media in general)

Annoying people...

What do you do when people are just simply annoying, yet are persistently wanting to hang out with you? Let me explain - annoying in the sense that they didn't do anything wrong, but their pure existance makes you want to put a pillow over your head and scream and you have to do everything in your power not to pop them one. Maybe they chew with their mouth open, or they tell jokes that just aren't funny, or worst yet they think they're the best thing since sliced bread...when they're just NOT. And...what if you've tried to 'ignore' them, but they just don't get it? What do you do???
