I love Japan

[I plan to update the grammar and punctuation on this post later. Japanese keyboard...]

On my way to Bali, I was supposed to have a very long layover in Taipei. However, after landing in Tokyo, the Taipei leg was cancelled.

I have now fallen in love with yet another wonderful country.

I have eaten 4 meals for free, stayed at the Raddison for free, got a free drink from the bartender at the hotel bar, had dinner with a father daughter duo who initally seemed hickish but turned out to be amazingly cultured and intelligent, met the actual owner of the hotel...

That was all yesterday/last night.

Today, after eating my free breakfast, I decided to take the train to Tokyo. With no plans, I just walked around. Tokyo is so clean - and there are no trash cans anywhere! I guess if you don:t create waste, you dont need to dispose of it. The people are overly friendly and so beautiful. Everyone is well groomed with the latest trendy hair cuts and funky fashions.

I had some issues getting the correct train back to the airport and be-friended 3 local girls on the train. This story needs to be told in person. Trigger words - money, change, present, cell phone translator, and language barrier. These girls spent 30 minutes with me to make sure I did not miss my flight...

And today, I don:t know how this happened - I have an economy ticket but somehow got priority check-in and a ticket to the Satura lounge, where yes, I had another fantastic meal - for free!!!!! They make some amazing beef dishes here - sorry Ganesh.

On my way to Bali soon, but plan to visit Japan in the near future. I will add pictures soon - so much to say and no little time.
