Seriously?
Today, however, was the icing on the cake.
I must have seemed pretty busy or frustrated yesterday (you know, more high strung than I normally am), and my coworker asked if there was anything she could do to help me clear up the tasks on my plate. (This is pretty normal with my team. Even if they don’t know how to help, they’ll still ask.) So, I responded to her, thanks so much but I’m good. And jokingly, I said I wanted cake. That was yesterday afternoon.
Then, she had an answering service call me to wish me a good Friday and a fun weekend! I got the message twice from what sounded like a women in an Indian call center. (The fact that she pronounced my name perfectly, kind of gave it away.)
She wouldn’t let me hug her in front of coworkers, but I snuck one in anyway. I mean who does that???
I heart my team. With a big RED HEART NS.

"As You Wish"....your colleagues must be fans of my favorite movie, The Princess Bride. What wonderful people to have surround you, Rakhi!
In your many years of working, you truly have managed to find yourself among wonderful people and I believe that is because you have the natural charm and charisma to attract those kinds of people into your life. What I admire the most about you is your heartfelt enthusiasm for acknowledging the people and the kindness they show to you.
Now, on one other note, with the many countries you have been fortunate enough to visit, and the fabulous trip you had to NYC, you must somewhere in the back of your head realize that you are missing out on the experience of a lifetime by not having wandered the streets of my home town: St Louis. The invitation is always there, Rakhi!
Miss you!
